Intratympanic Therapies

Ear Medical group offers a variety of treatment strategies for Meniere's disease, sudden hearing loss, and tinnitus. A fairly new and exciting treatment option is intratympanic therapy. Certain medications are injected into the middle ear space where they are absorbed into the inner ear in high concentrations. This procedure is done in the office setting under a topical anesthetic. Intratympanic therapy is typically preformed in a series of treatments by a physician, this allows for a more aggressive treatment approach with few systemic side effects. The intratympanic therapy requires a physician consultation to determine candidacy for this type of medical treatment.
