Facial Nerve Disorders

Our doctors manage all types of acute and chronic facial nerve problems by using a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and management. This includes a complete head and neck examination, microscopic ear examinati9n, and audiometry. In some cases, diagnostic imaging and/or facial nerve electrical testing is used to determine the cause, and the extent of the facial nerve disorder, as well as, the best medical/surgical treatment.

EMG works closely with a physical therapist who specializes in Neuromuscular Retraining of facial function and head and neck surgeons who specialize in surgical reanimation of the facial muscles. This allows for an individualized comprehensive long-term plan for each patient.
