Hearing Loss

EMG offers comprehensive audiological testing, electrodiagnostic testing and testing for patients who struggle to hear in background noise.

The doctors of EMG provide medical and surgical management of all forms of hearing loss, including use of hearing aids and assistive listening devices, cochlear implants, bone conducted hearing devices and middle ear surgeries for restoration of hearing.

In the case of infants and young children, this also includes coordinating and supervising follow up newborn hearing screening, referrals to Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children in San Antonio and the Early Childhood Intervention Services program within the Texas Health and Human Services.

EMG provides to school districts services to implement assistive listening devices and preferential seating in the classroom.

We work closely with The Hearing Centers of EMG to provide patients options for improved hearing, including hearing aids, additional BlueTooth technology, and assistive listening devices. Custom Service Molds for occupational and recreational noise and water exposure when swimming to prevent hearing loss.
