Conventional Hearing Aids

EMG offers a variety of hearing aid options, including behind-the-ear, in-the-ear and in-the-canal hearing aids. We routinely fit hearing aids for newborns, children and adults.

Bone-Anchored Hearing Aids

EMG’s physicians perform a safe, simple outpatient procedure for those individuals who are unable to wear conventional hearing aids because of prior surgery or anatomic variations. A titanium screw is surgically placed into the bone behind the ear, which allows for the attachment of a special hearing aid that conducts sound energy directly into the inner ear. The surgery can be performed under either a local or general anesthetic and is often covered by insurance.
